- Bread (cut into pieces)
- Peanuts (half bowl)
- 2 teaspoons oil
- ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
- 10-12 curry leaves
- 2 medium sized onions (Chop them)
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2-3 green chillies (nicely chopped)
- ½ chopped vegetables (whichever needed)
- 2 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt for the taste
- Coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
How to Make
Take a non-stick pan. Heat some oil in it enough to fry the peanuts. Take the peanuts as desired and fry them till the color becomes golden brown.
Keep an absorbent paper to drain the fried peanuts. It’s always good to have less oil. After the peanuts are fried sufficiently drain them on the absorbent paper.
Now add the mustard seeds in the oil in which peanuts were fried. The mustard seeds will splutter. Then add the curry leaves and saute them along with the mustard seeds for ½ minute.
Now add the onions and saute again for another 3-4 minutes. Add turmeric powder and chillies and the vegetable bowl.
Now, cover the entire mixture and cook for another 5 minutes.
Add the coriander powder and saute for a couple of minutes.
Add the bread pieces or cubes and salt. Sprinkle some water over the pan, cover it and cook for another 5 minutes.
Garnish with the coriander leaves, sprinkle some lemon juice, add the fried peanuts and mix everything gently.
The very tasty bread poha dish is ready to be served. Serve this dish hot!
