The exams of most prestigious jobs are conducted by UPSC(union public service commission). The posts under the exams are Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and Indian Police Service (IPS).
The exam is conducted in three stages for the various posts.

Candidates have to register themselves before appearing for the examinations. The details regarding registration and everything will be announces/given on 22nd February 2017.
What is the next step?
If candidate qualifies in the prelims, then can apply for the second stage of exams that is Mains.
Candidate who are waiting for their results are also eligible to apply. They have to submit the certificate of qualification along with their marksheet to the UPSC head office before the commencement of Main examination.
The UPSC academic calendar, which was released in the month of January, stated that the prelims would be conducted on 18th June 2017.
The official announcement will be done on 22nd February 2017 on the official website of UPSC. The announcement will be regarding the date of notification for the Civil services examinations and Indian Forest Services (Prelims).
