An actress turned politician, Jayalalithaa commonly know as Amma in Tamil Naidu will forever be known for her beauty, charisma and her deeds being as a person and also as a Politician. Despite the fact people were in great shock with her death news, but now her biopic is the much-talked topic.
So who is the most suitable actor for the immense role of Jayalalithaa?Asked in a TV show “Rendezvous with Simi Garewal”.
In an interview with Simi Garewal in 1999, Jayalalithaa confessed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would characterise her (Jayalalithaa) well.” I think Aishwarya Rai would be suitable to play me in my younger days. But to play me as I am now or I am likely to be in the future, I think it will be less difficult.”
What made Aishwarya to be Jayalalithaa’s first choice for her biopic? Probably Aishwarya’s fictitious performance in the film Iruvar (1997), in which the actor played the role based on Jayalalithaa.She also shared that according to her Elizabeth Taylor and Aishwarya Rai were the most beautiful woman in the world.
Also she feels that the most handsome hunk in the world is Clark Gable.” I liked everything about Clark Gable. Gone With The Wind is one of my all time favourites. I have seen it so many times,” says Jayalalithaa.
Not leaving the Tamil actress behind, Ramya Krishnan also expressed her interest in playing the role of Jayalalithaa in a film based on her biopic.
It is also being said that post her death filmmakers have showed their interest in making of a film based to the former’s life. Director Ram Gopal Verma has documented the title “Shashikala” where he will focus on the relationship between the two soul sisters “ Shashikala and Jayalalithaa”.
A Telgu filmmaker has also registered the title on the biopic film as “ Amma”.
