Deepika Padukone Steps off Shah Rukh Khan’s Next

One of the most controversial and a big budget film till date for this year is still under its process. Sanjay Leela Bhanshali’s ‘Padmavati’ starring Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Singh and Shahid Kapoor has been under limelight from the time the project has been introduced. Deepika Padukone will be seen playing the role of Rani Padmini in the movie, she had committed dates for Padmavati a long time ago but due to accidents on the sets in Rajasthan and also in Kolhapur the film’s schedules were postponed. So Deepika had to make changes in her date sheet and because of which she could not commit for any other project. She was approached for Aanand L Rai’s next starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead playing the role of a dwarf. But Deepika said no to the project because of the date problems.

Deepika Padukone had shared the screen with King Khan thrice before and their chemistry has always been appreciated. All the three films have been the hits of the year. The first time duo was seen in Om Shanti Om, after which the two went on to deliver Bollywood hits like Chennai Express and Happy New Year.

New Face in place of Deepika

Aanand L Rai’s next with Shah Rukh Khan which has not been titled yet has been in news ever since the film was announced. There have been a lot of speculations around the film’s title, but yet it has not been finalized. As per the news received along with SRK, Deepika and Katrina Kaif were the choices for the film and the shooting for which was likely to start from the upcoming month. But, as Deepika could not come ahead for the project because of the date issue, the film makers will have to look for the new face. The existence of Katrina in the project has not been talked much.

Shah Rukh Khan is presently shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next film, which stars Anushka Sharma as the female lead. The title of the film is yet to be finalized but as per the sources title of the film could be Raula. Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in a cameo in Kabir Khan’s Tubelight with Salman Khan in the lead, which is expected to hit the theatres during the Eid this year.
