After 2014 Blockbuster Mary Kom, Priyanka Chopra will be seen in the biopic of late Astronaut Kalpana Chawla. Kalpana was born in Haryana in 1962 and became the first woman from India to go into space. She died in 2003 on her second expedition to space when her space shuttle Columbia exploded while returning back to Earth. Six other crew members also died who were with her in the same spacecraft. She spent 31 days, 14 hours and 54 minutes in space. Kalpana Chawla and her life story have always been an inspiration to all and will continue to inspire generations and generations to come.
And now, Kalpana Chawla’s journey is all set to get a cinematic tribute and Priyanka Chopra will be seen reprising the role of the real life brave heart.

But as she has got a break from her Hollywood commitment, filmmakers in Bollywood immediately approached her and as per the reports, Priyanka will soon start working on the biopic of late astronaut Kalpana Chawla. The actress was last seen in Bollywood film Jai Gangaajal released early last year.

About the Film
A film on one of the most inspiring ladies of the country will be promising and no one other than Priyanka could be the most suitable face for this. The title of the film is yet to be decided. The film will be based on the Life story of Kalpana, her Struggle, and Journey to NASA and to space also the film will cover her time that was spent in space.
Also as per the sources, Kalpana’s parents have also given a green signal for the film. So, now anytime soon the film may go on the floor.
