Sarabhai vs Sarabhai to Return in May

Sarabhai vs Sarabhai to Return in May

Sarabhai vs Sarabhai was one of the best series ever created on Indian Television. After more than a decade of its wrap up people still remember the episodes fondly and even though all the actors went their different ways they were always associated with the serial. Sarabhai vs Sarabhai is now all set to return as a web series with many of the original actors coming back together but will take a seven-year leap.

Producer JD Majethia has announced that Indravadhan and Maya Sarabhai will be back with their madcap family and their shenanigans real soon. Only there is one big change, instead of Television, you will be able to watch them on Hotstar as a web series.

The show, which was aired on television from 2004-2006, will be back with the same cast. Majethia said, “We are starting the shoot by the end of this month. It will go on till April or first week of May.”

What is Sarabhai vs Sarabhai 2 and what to expect?

The serial outlined the story of the Sarabhai family, a flawed upper-class Gujarati family in Mumbai with a middle-class daughter-in-law, Monisha Sarabhai. What made the show even more special was that every character brought in a different kind of humour to the screen with them. Their acting was on point, and the Indian audience instantly got connected with the family. The show’s lead roles were played by Satish Shah as Indravadan Sarabhai, Ratna Pathak as Maya Sarabhai, Sumeet Raghavan as Sahil Sarabhai, Rupali Ganguly as Monisha Sarabhai and Rajesh Kumar as Rosesh Sarabhai.

Sarabhai vs Sarabhai 2 has been written by Aatish Kapadia. The web series will be co-directed with Deven Bhojani, who also plays a central character on the show. The whole original cast of the satire is reuniting for the sequel and there will also be a few new characters. Even though new characters will be introduced, we need not worry about the feel of the show. The makers have promised that they won’t change the theme at all.

The wait is finally over! All set to make the audiences for kicks and for laughs; for giggles
