Moong Dal is very tasty and delicious dish. This dish is easy to eat and make. Dal used to prepare is lightest of all other dal and is easily digested. Probably this is the reason why people prefer Moong Dal the most. This dal is very famous in Haryana and Punjab. It can be eaten with Butter Naan, roti, Kulcha, Jeera Rice etc. all the ingredients required to make Moong Dal are easily available at home. Usually this dal is very easily found in Dhabha’s and is tastes amazing but it can also be made at home. Dal is very nutritious and has many health benefits. If dal is cooked in Ghee then its taste and fragrance both enhances. To make it delicious, add beneficial spices to dal especially for children who give excuses for not eating dal. If it’s cooked in proper masala’s then both adults and children will eat it with great interest. With the given instructions you can make delicious and tasty Dal.

It takes 15 to 20 minutes to cook dal and 10 minutes to it.

The given instructions is sufficient for 2 to 3 people. You can change the amount of ingredients as per people.3

Moong Dal

Dal can also be cooked without being soaked. There are many other ways to cook dal. One of them is to after cooking dal, you can add “tadka” to it. This way Dal tastes different and delicious.

Ingredients for Moong Dal

  • 100 grams Moong Dal
  • 2 tea spoon Ghee
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cumin Seed
  • 3 tea spoon Green Coriander
  • 1 piece Hing
  • 1 Tomato
  • 5 Kari Patta
  • 1 tea spoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 tea spoon Red chilli
  • 1/4 tea spoon Turmeric
  • 2 Green Chilli
  • 1/2 tea spoon Ginger paste
  • Salt as per taste

How to Make Moong Dal Recipe

  1. Take dal and wash it properly. Soak it in water for a while.
  2. Take cooker and pour ghee. Further add cumin seeds and rest of the spices like turmeric, coriander leaves, red chilli, chopped green chilli, ginger paste etc.
  3. When the mixture is satuted properly, put Tomatoes to it and saute it too. Then add dal to it.
  4. After this, add 2 cup of water to cooker and mix everything well. Then close the panel of cooker. Let it blow one vessel. Once its done, let it release all its gas inside. Pour this dal in a serving bowl and sprinkle coriander leaves over it and serve it well.
