Air India Again Cancels Shiv Sena MP Gaikwad’s Ticket

Gaikwad who drew a lot of attention last Thursday, by assaulting a 60year old staff of Air India on a Pune-Delhi fight after it landed. He was angry as he had to travel in the economy class even when he had a business class ticket. After the incident Air India cancelled his return journey ticket and lodged two FIRs against him with Delhi Police. He moved to make his return journey with Indigo but they too cancelled his ticket, with this even all the other airlines blacklisted him from the air travel.

Recent Action by Air India

Within a 4 day span when he booked his ticket again on Tuesday that too was cancelled by Air India. Gaikwad booked flight AI 806 from Mumbai to Delhi for Wednesday which was on the dot cancelled by the airline. He gave a second try to book a seat on flight AI 551 from Hyderabad to Delhi for Wednesday again, which was also cancelled.

Air India will not allow Gaikwad to travel with their airline. The spokesperson from Air India claimed that “He has no regrets; he has not even apologized for his misbehavior even after a case has been registered against him by Delhi police. We will not allow him to travel with Air India in future. We have recently cancelled his ticket”.

Course of Action

As MP could not book an air ticket with any of the airlines, he had booked a train ticket on Mumbai-New Delhi Rajdhani for today. The passenger’s reservation chart pasted on coach A3 of the train had his name; he boarded the train at Mumbai Central station. This is the second time he travelled by train. After the first travel itself the Shiv Sena spokesperson said that Gaikwad need not to be guilty for the poor services he received from Air India.

Gaikwad represents Loksabha constituency from the Osmanabad region, on Monday Shiv Sena declared shutdown in Osmanabad region in order to protest against Air India.
