Voting for MCD polls ended on Sunday at 5.30 p.m. voters came up to vote for 272 wards for North, East and South. The fate of 2,537 candidates was dependent upon the voting of the voters.
On 25th June BJP has come up as the clear majority in all the three parts of Delhi MCD elections 2017. The MCD elections results as the “punishment” for Aam Aadmi Party. AAP to cover up its defeat is blaming the EVM’s for their defeat. But, Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu says its AAP is using EVM’s to cover up their defeats and the same EVM’s were used which have AAP 67 seats out of 70 in the Assemble Elections.
On the win, Arvind Kejriwal wished BJP via tweeter. “I congratulate BJP on their victory in all 3 MCD’s. My government looks forward with MCD’s for the betterment of Delhi.”
Results in the south zone of Delhi
On counting the votes, in South zone of Delhi, BJP gets in the clear majority by winning 70 wards, AAP with 16 and Congress with 12.
Results in the North zone of Delhi
On counting the votes, in North zone of Delhi, BJP gets 66 wards, AAP gets 20 and Congress gets 15.
Results in East zone of Delhi
On counting the votes, in East Delhi, BJP gets 48 wards, AAP gets 10 and Congres gets three.
In all, BJP has won 184 wards in three zones of Delhi. AAP gets 46 wards; Congress gets 30 wards and others gets 10 wards.
On AAP’s losing the elections, Anna Hazare said, ”He (Arvind Kejriwal) said he won’t take car, bungalow and salary, but took all three. He even gave MLA’s the biggest raise in India. There is a big gap between what he says and what he does.”
