SP Minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati Missing, He Has Been Accused in a Rape Case

Supreme Court has ordered Uttar Pradesh police team to investigate Smajwadi Party cabinet Minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati for his role in a rape case. The orders were made on Tuesday and since then Prajapati is missing.

Police has been looking for him, they visited his official residence, but have no trace about him.

Senior Police officer said, “A police team had gone to his official residence in Lucknow. It’s part of the investigation. The minister was not found there. We have sent teams to Amethi also.”

UP Police IO, will be visiting AIIMS hospital to record the statement of the victim girl.

There is information that Prajapati will be arrested as soon as he is traced. Two police officials have already been sent to Amethi to look for him. In Amethi he has been traced moving freely from one place to another to seek votes. Amethi stands as his assembly constituency.

Last trace of Prajapati:

Prajapati was seen last speaking to media on 27th Februray when he came to cast vote. He said “i will win by great margin and work under Akhilesh once again.”

Charges Against Gayatri Prasad Prajapati:

The Uttar Pradesh police has lodged two FIR against the cabinet minister, one being included in the gangrape and another for raping a woman and her daughter.

The offence was first committed in October 2014 and continued till July 2016. When he tried to victimize the lady’s daughter , she wrote to the state DGP in October 2016, requesting him to take some action.

Chief Minister once dismissed Prajapati in 2016 for creating feud between the family fembers, Mulayam Singh Yadav and Shivpal Singh Yadav.

Prajapati has been denying the claims, stating that the charges against him is a “political conspiracy by BJP” and “he did not know the victim”.
