Delhi metro rail corporation (DMRC) has been working since years for providing services to the citizens. DMRC enters the Limca Book of Records for erecting 200 U- girders in just the span of one month. These girders have been implanted in “Noida-Greater Noida corridor”.
Dr. Mangu Singh, managing director of DMRC was honored with “Lima Book of Records” on Thursday.
200 U-griders makes them enter in Lima Books of Records
200 are the maximum number of U-girders that have ever been launched in any Metro corridor across India within a time period of one month. DMRC used 6 special trailers for the transportation of U-girders and 6 special cranes to launch 27 metre long and 5.05 metre wide U-girder.These U-girders were were pre-fabricated. The moulding yards was in Noida sector 15
Noida-Greater Noida corridor:
The total of 2002 u-girders have been erected in the entire corridor. The Noida-Greater Noida corridor is 30km long constituting 21 stations. The corridor stands beneath the Dedicated Railway Freight Corridor and crosses over Yumuna-Agra Flyover.
All the metro stations will have platform screen doors, proper water harvesting facility and solar panels.
The new corridor will be linked with the upcoming Noida City Centre to Sector 62 metro corridor. A foot-ever bridge is also a part of the plan connecting Sector 5 metro station of Noida City Centre to Sector 62 corridor with Sector 71 metro station of Noida-Greater Noida corridor.

The project has been executed by DMRC on behalf of Noida Metro Rail Corporation ltd. Along with its civil contractors Continental Engineering Corporation and SAM India Builtwell pvt. Ltd. Joint venture.
