Aloo tikki is an Indian dish. It falls in the starter category. Made out of boiled potatoes, potatoes is the main ingredient which makes it soft and tasty from the inside and later on by adding other ingredients it is made crunchy on the outside.
Take a big plate enough to make a dough of the potato.
Knead the potatoes nicely and make a dough out of it.
Divide the dough by making twelve equal portions out of it.
Take a non-stick pan, heat one spoon of oil in the pan, add the onions to it till it becomes translucent.
Let the onions cool. After it is cool, mix the onions with the ¼ cup grated cottage cheese, ¼ chopped fresh coriander, cashew nuts, red chilli powder and salt properly.
Make twelve equal portions of this mixture.
Now, it is time to stuff the potatoes with the cheese mixture. To do this, take one potato mixture and one cottage cheese mixture and stuff the cottage cheese mixture in the potato ones.
Using your palm, make tikkis by rolling them on your palm measuring some two-inch in diameter and half-inch thickness.
Take a kadai for frying. Add some oil in the kadai which will suffice to fry the aloo tikkis.
Deep fry the aloo tikkis, till the color turns golden brown. Drain the tikkis on the absorbent paper so that the oil gets drained.
The fresh aloo tikkis are now ready to be served with any desired thing
